Maruti Suzuki is set to launch the new Brezza subcompact SUV in India today. Bookings for the SUV are currently open with the booking amount set at Rs 11,000. In the build-up to the launch Maruti has revealed new details for its upcoming models including confirming some of its new features along with engine and gearbox details. The carmaker has also confirmed that the new-gen SUV will only be known as the Brezza with the Vitara prefix now having been dropped. While the car’s design still remains under wraps, pictures of the undisguised model have surfaced online providing a clear look at the SUV styling. The new Brezza retains the boxy and upright proportions of the outgoing Vitara Brezza though the entire body shell is new. The front is characterised by new headlamps with J-shaped LED DRLs, flanking a larger grille and a chunkier front bumper with prominent use of black cladding and a faux skid plate element.

Down the sides, the model seems to lack the defined shoulder line that ran the length of the car near the door handles while the glass house too is new and longer than in the older model. At the rear, new slim tail-lamps and a chunky rear bumper round out the looks.
The cabin too will be all new with the dashboard now getting a more layered design compared to the outgoing model. The touchscreen is a free-standing unit atop the centre console while bits such as the climate control and steering are shared with the likes of the new Baleno. Maruti has confirmed some of the tech that will be available including a head-up display, SmartPlay Pro+ infotainment system with connected tech, a 360-degree camera and a sunroof.
