It said that Dhoni won the bid for a 1971 land Rover series station Wagon at an online auction that was held by none other than Big Boy Toyz. The cost of the car wasn’t revealed but according to the reports, the car is supposed to be quite a catch and Dhoni is well aware of it. The Land Rover Series 3 station wagon is a very rare vehicle and it has a yellow and white dual-tone finish. It is also said to be one of the most popular and rare cars built by the British automaker in the Land Rover series. As the Land Rover Series, 3 station wagon was so popular and loved by many, the automaker built around 440,000 units of the series between 1971 and 1985. Also, during this period, customers even had the option to buy the car from a variety of variants like the 2.3-litre four-cylinder petrol engine and 3.5-litre V8.

The breathtaking vintage and classic car come with an engine ranging from a 2.3-litre four-cylinder petrol engine to a 3.5-litre V8 with a four-speed manual transmission and a 2-speed manual transfer case. Jatin Ahuja, the founder of Big boy Toyz is the one who held the online auction from where the car was bought by Dhoni.

It was furthermore said that BBT (Big Boy Toyz) revealed that the auction started with the Volkswagen Beetle for as low as ₹ 1 lakh and went up to ₹ 25 lakh. It is to date very unclear whether the other vintage cars on the list found celebrity homes but more can be heard from BBT maybe soon. On the other side, the company, BBT says that they want to strengthen the vintage and classic car division and they are aiming to expand the same into a ₹ 100 crore vertical in the coming years. Also, they have said that the firm plans to come with fresh online auctions of vintage and classic cars every two months. Last month, February 2020 should have witnessed another auction for such vintage cars and motorbikes by BBT.
