Compared to the 10,832 vehicles sold in December 2021, Toyota also saw 32% drop in MoM sales
Toyota Kirloskar Motor has released the monthly sales number for January 2022, during which, the company’s total sales stood at 7,328 units. Compared to the 11,126 vehicles sold during the same month in 2021, the carmaker saw a year-on-year decline of over 34 per cent last month. At the same time, against the 10,832 vehicles sold in December 2021, Toyota registered a month-on-month drop of more than 32 per cent. One main reason for this decline in sales is the ongoing shortage of semiconductor chips which has affected vehicle production in India.

Both vehicles cumulatively crossed the 1 lakh units sales milestone in India.
