Maserati Reveals One-Off Grecale Mission From Mars Model

Created by Maserati’s Fuoriserie Programme, the customised Maserati features deigns elements inspired from space and Mars.

Just days after its global debut Maserati has now revealed a customised Grecale Mission From Mars. A creation from its Fuoriserie Programme – Maserati’s personalisation programme – the one-off SUV has been billed as being an order from Mars with a number of customised cosmetic elements inspired from space travel and the planet red planet. Maserati has not revealed who commissioned this one-off custom Grecale.

The Grecale Mission From Mars is finished in a Galactic Orange paint shade. Maserati says the paint finish is “inspired by mineral dust and metal erosion” simulating the red soil on the surface of Mars. The one-off luxury SUV sits on a pair of custom Vortex wheels with Maserati adding that even the tyres are “made from a special blend dedicated to the planet Mars.” Smaller details dotting the exterior include a triangular badge with the Maserati trident on the front fenders reminiscent of a space mission patch and unique door graphics reading “Maserati Mission From Mars” with a timer displaying hours, minutes and seconds.

Also unique is the Maserati emblem on the C-pillar with its dot-matrix inspired design and glitch effect thrown in.

The cabin too gets unique upholstery with orange inserts on the steering and the Maserati patch sewn into the seat headrests. Maserati claims that it used a number of techniques including “transverse lasering with a contrasting multi-coloured welded backing, taping, silicone coatings, embossing and debossing on leather.” A highlight of the cabin though is the panoramic sunroof that is embossed with a start chart to add to the outer space vibe.
