Land Rover has added a new HST model to the Range Rover Velar range, taking a cue from the success of the high-performance Range Rover Sport and Evoque models, for the European market. The Range Rover Velar HST features cosmetic enhancements as well as a chassis upgrade to make it more dynamic and even more performance-oriented than the rest of the range. Additionally, Land Rover has also updated the cabin of the Range Rover Velar HST along with a slew of additions to its features list. The heart of the Range Rover Velar HST also sees an update, as the luxury SUV now features a P400 and D300 variants, in both petrol and diesel engines respectively, coupled with a hybrid powertrain.
The Range Rover Velar HST includes a Black contrast roof and full exterior Black Pack.

Changes on the exterior of the Range Rover Velar HST include a Black contrast roof and full exterior Black Pack, available in new Arroios Grey, privacy glass, and unique gloss-black 21-inch 5 split-spoke alloy wheels. The theme continues inside, with Black Suedecloth headlining and steering wheel, while the panoramic roof offers a light and airy cabin. Moreover, Amazon Alexa is also available on the Range Rover Velar HST when fitted with the advanced Pivi Pro infotainment system and the Online Pack.

The Range Rover Velar HST also features the latest Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) technologies, including Adaptive Cruise Control with Steering Assist. You also get the Cabin Air Purification Plus, along with Park Assist Pack as a standard fitment. As far as the chassis upgrades include, the Range Rover Velar HST receives Electronic Air Suspension with Adaptive Dynamics that monitors road conditions and adjusts the suspension responses accordingly.

Available in P400 petrol and D300 diesel versions, power comes from the 3.0L, 6-cylinder, turbocharged engines that produce 395 bhp @6,500 rpm and 296 bhp @4,000rpm respectively, with both engines paired to an 8-speed automatic gearbox. Both motors come paired to a mild-hybrid system, that allows for a 0-100 kmph sprint on the Velar P400 HST in under 6 seconds, while the Velar D300 HST can do the same in about 6.5 seconds.
