This is the first time that Royal Enfield is launching a spin-off bike based on the Himalayan
Royal Enfield has launched its all-new scrambler motorcycle, the Royal Enfield Scram 411 in India today, with prices starting at ₹ 2.03 lakh (ex-showroom, India). The new Scram 411 is based on the existing Himalayan, and it is also gets the same 411 cc single-cylinder engine, mated to a 5-speed gearbox. The bike will come with a new headlamp cowl, vibrant colour options, and a new plate on the side that reads 411. Royal Enfield also offers two more colour variants of the bike which are priced at ₹ 2.05 lakh and ₹ 2.08 lakh (both ex-showroom, India).

Based on the spy photos, the big changes made to the Royal Enfield Scram 411 will include the new stance and the smaller 19-inch front wheel as opposed to the 21-inch spoked front wheel on the Himalayan. The bike is expected to still retain its off-road credentials with the long-travel suspension and dual-purpose tyres.

Other features will include dual-channel ABS, a halogen headlamp and the Tripper navigation pod. There’s no word on the pricing yet but the model is expected to carry a price tag under ₹ 2 lakh (ex-showroom), which should make it reasonably cheaper than the Himalayan.
