Volkswagen India has announced an upward revision in prices of the Taigun compact SUV and Tiguan mid-size SUV. Prices of both SUVs have gone up by 2.5 per cent – 4 per cent depending on the variant, while the German carmaker has also updated the Volkswagen Taigun with more standard features. The Volkswagen Taigun now offers engine idle start / stop and tyre pressure deflation warning as standard across all variants. However, the company hasn’t added any features on the Volkswagen Tiguan range in India.

Volkswagen India claims that the idle start / stop system has bettered the Taigun’s fuel economy by up to 6 per cent on the 1.0-litre Dynamic Line variants. It now delivers an ARAI certified fuel economy of 19.20 kmpl on the manual variants and 17.23 kmpl on the automatic variants. In the Performance Line, Wild Cherry Red decor inserts will be available only on the Wild Cherry Red Exterior colour whereas other exterior colours will have the Armur Grey glossy decor inserts.
