Jaguar Land Rover have announced a multi year partnership with Nvidia for the adoption of its AI chipset platform Drive. The two will jointly develop an autonomous driving system and AI enabled in-car experiences which could be a virtual assistant which will be deployed by 2025. Starting in 2025 all Jaguar Land Rover vehicles will be equipped with Nvidia’s Drive platform which includes a combination of hardware and software which includes active safety features coupled with automated driving and advanced parking systems and ADAS capability. There will also be a system that monitors the driver and the occupant using computer vision techniques.
The system integrates the Nvidia Drive Hyperion and Drive Orin autonomous vehicle processors which includes safety, security, networking, surround sensors coupled with a Jaguar Land Rover operating system. Jaguar Land Rover will also harness the power of Nvidia DGX server grade GPUs for training AI models in the data center built on top DRIVE sim software that is built on the Nvidia Omniverse platform.

This is part of Jaguar Land Rover’s long term plan of turning its operations fully sustainable by 2039 and Nvidia will play a key role in turning the brands fully emissions free with electric power trains. Jaguar of course already makes EVs like the highly lauded i-Pace while Land Rover is adopting hybrid powertrains.
